He was teaching on the 'The Three Principles of the Path' by Tsong Khapa. He said that all the problems and conflicts in the world today arise from ignorance. MIYAJIMA, Japan, 4 November 2006 — Japanese devotees listening to the Dalai Lama's teaching at Daisyoin Temple. Ten Korean and 15 Chinese were among the two thousand devotees attending the sermon, in which the Dalai Lama spoke on the introduction of the Buddhist philosophy and topics such as the importance of learning the basic principles of the philosophy rather than taking it only as a tradition in all the Buddhist countries.

He spoke on human values and parents' care for children, and asked Japanese youth to travel abroad for education and to get rid of stress and tension.
